Le RIWA a eu un mois de septembre bien chargé en compétitions et championnats à la maison ou ailleurs accompagnés de belles performances 😉

Le mois a commencé par le Meeting Express, organisé par l’USBW le mercredi 9 au soir où 6 athlètes ont pris le départ sur 1.000m et 5.000m.

Le samedi 12 à Kessel-Lo, Gil VAN ROYE (Sen) participe au concours du Javelot.

Le même jour, le CABW organisait les Championnats LBFA Cadets/Scolaires où 4 de nos athlètes ont été sélectionné. Nathan HANSSENS (Cad) aligné sur 800m réalise un record personnel en 2’24’’63 et nos abonnés à la 5e place : Quentin HOFFKEN (Sco) engagé en Triple Saut conclu son concours avec un saut à 11m32 ; Simon GENOW (Sco) en Disque avec 34m47 et Jean-Baptiste LEJEUNE (Sco) en Longueur avec une jolie performance 6m63 !

Mercredi 16 @ ✌Home✌, le RIWA organisait son Meeting Nocturne de Clôture ≫ voir article ☃

Le meeting du 16 était un entrainement préparatoire pour nos Masters afin de régler les derniers détails pour le Championnat de Belgique Masters qui s’est déroulé le weekend du 19 et 20 à Ninove. À cette occasion et parmi les 15 ladies & gentlemen, on peut compter pas moins de 6 records club + 3 nouveaux records et 12 podiums ! Chez les ladies, Nadia VANDER CUYLEN conclue le tour de piste en 1’07’’52 réalisant un record personnel + un record club et est championne en W40. Zaina SEMLALI prend la 3e place sur 800m chez les W50 et Martine VANDENBROECK est championne en Longueur en W60 en établissant un nouveau record club. Chez les gentlemen, Michaël DUROISIN (M50) réalise un double titre de champion en 3.000m Steeple / Perche et réalise par la même occasion 2 records clubs. Philippe MAUCLET accomplit une jolie performance sur 400m en 1’02’’42 et établi un nouveau record club en M60. Autres podiums : Christophe LEJEUNE (M40) prend la 2e place en 400m et la 3e place en Perche ; Etienne MASQUELIER (M60) termine 2e sur 200m et 3e sur 100m et réalise 2 records clubs en 29’’57 & 13’’97 ; Christian ANDRÉ prend la 3e place en Longueur en M55 (battant son record club du 16)  et réalise sur 100m un nouveau record club en 13″66 et, Pierre FIEVEZ fini le 1.500m en 5’36’’17 et termine à la 3e place chez les Masters 60.

Ce même dimanche 20, au CRAC, 2 de nos sprinters, Emma BROZE (Esp) et Olivier BARO (Sen) se sont alignés sur 100m & 200m. 2 records personnels pour Emma ! Bravo Emmaaaaaaaa ?

Autre Championnat du mois, les Épreuves Combinées organisées à Deinze les samedi 26 et dimanche 27. Monsieur Jean-Baptiste LEJEUNE (Sco) réalise encore une superbe performance en Décathlon, battant son record club de 147 points. Il n’améliore pas moins de 6 records personnels en 100m, 110mH, 400m, 1500m dont le Javelot auxquels il atteint le Minimas Élites B avec un lancer à 46m66, ainsi qu’au Minimas Élites B en Perche avec 4m00. Et bien sûr, il améliore son total en Décathlon avec un total à 6168 points !

Un jour bien rempli pour la journée de la fête de la Communauté Française puisque en plus de la 2e journée des épreuves combinées, l’USBW organisait le Meeting de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, suivi en soirée des Championnat de Belgique de 10.000m et 3.000m Steeple. Au programme, 9 athlètes du RIWA se sont alignés sur 800m dont Emma BROZE (Esp) sur 400m qui bat son record personnel en 59’’71. En demi-fond, de nos 3 dames présentes, Isabelle GODEFRIDI (Sen) termine les 2 tours de piste en 2’25’’86 pour un season best. Dans la série suivante, c’est Audrey DE MOOR (Mas35) qui bat son record club en 2’31’’08 et Cécile COYETTE (Sen) qui bat quant à elle son record perso en 2’31’’93. Du côté homme, ils étaient 5 : Oskar WILLEMS (Sen) réalise le meilleur chrono et un record personnel en 2’06’’04, il est suivi de Thibault FRANCOTTE (Esp) qui termine son premier 800m en 2’09’’91.

Quelques heures plus tard, seul Sergio STROLLO (Sen) (photo ci-dessus) prenait le départ pour 25 tours de piste !!! Il conlu son 10.000m en battant son record personnel en 31’12’’40 et termine 14e au général des Championnat de Belgique TC.

Nous félicitions tous nos athlètes pour leurs performances et persévérances en cette situation bien particulière. Bravo à eux et merci à tous pour l’encadrement.

Le mercredi 16 @ ✌Home Sweet Home✌, le RIWA organisait son Meeting Nocturne de Clôture qui a accueilli plus de 200 athlètes de 42 clubs différents. Parmi eux, 40 athlètes made in RIWA sont venus représentés le club !

Un début du programme qui commence par le concours de Perche où Christophe LEJEUNE (Mas40) franchi une barre à 3m00. De l’autre côté du stade, à l’aire de lancer du Disque, c’est au tour de Simon GENOW (Sco) de catapulter l’engin d’1,5kg à 35m35. Bam ? record perso ! Quelques instants plus tard, cette fois avec 2kg en main, Guillaume DE ROOVER (Esp) lance à 33m78. Bam ? Bam ? record personnel ! Retour de l’autre côté où Camille LEMPEREUR (Sco) & Carole VINESSE (Sco) (photo à droite) participent au concours de Hauteur. Maintenant place aux courses, commençant par le tour de piste ! Au départ du 400m chez les Dames, Clara HULIN (Sen) prend un départ du tonnerre pour tirer Emma BROZE (Esp) qui termine son tour en 59’’98. Chez les Hommes, Igor DAVAUX (Cad) s’essaye pour la première fois sur 400m et termine son tour de piste en 1’00’’60. Quant à Souhaib AZZOUZ(Esp), il boucle le tour en 53’’29.

Nous poursuivons avec la course de la soirée, le 800m : 2 séries chez les Femmes et 6 séries chez les Hommes. Groupées dans la première série, Isabelle GODEFRIDI (Sen) prend la tête du groupe dès le départ pour terminer en tête en 2’26’’31 suivi de Cécile COYETTE (Sen) en 2’35’’20 avec un nouveau record perso. Prochain rendez-vous RIWA : le 8e cross du Riwa le dimanche 13 décembre. Même horaire, même endroit, même parcours !
